Armenian Purple Ocher is an earthy violet-red with cool undertones. This pigment is useful for creating cool tints in flesh tones and is a valuable addition to landscapes, botanicals, and wildlife works.
Artist Notes: This earthy violet is a wonderful choice for botanical works, particularly bark and autumn leaves. Armenian Purple Ochre makes a useful flesh tone in portrait work, and is useful in a wide range of landscape applications.
Paint Maker’s Notes: This is a natural earth pigment mined in the Lori province of northern Armenia which is noted for its beautiful mountains, resorts, and spas.
