Antica Green Earth is a soft olive green useful in portraits, landscapes, botanicals, and wildlife paintings.
Artist Notes: This warm green earth pigment is a wonderful choice for landscape and botanical work. Its granular nature can be used to great effect in washes on cold pressed paper. Antica Green Earth is a very soft, subtle colour with a yellow undertone.
Paint Maker’s Notes: Antica Green Earth pigment comes from mines in northern Italy, and is largely comprised of the mineral glauconite.
