Sennelier Oil Pastel Pad is specially formulated for oil pastels. The oil will not seep or bleed through the card, while the pages are interleaved with glassine to protect your work.

Each pad is spiral bound on the narrow edge and contains 12 340gsm sheets of acid-free paper.

The surface cannot take solvent, and doing so will cause it to swell and blister. It also repels water.

In 1887, Gustave Sennelier, a devoted chemist, established himself as a purveyor of fine-artists’ paints at 3 Quai Voltaire facing the Louvre and steps away from l’Ecole des Beaux-Arts. Having thoroughly researched the history and usage of pigments, he developed a distinctive process for manufacturing oil colours, formulating precise methods for mixing tones and for controlling their opacity and transparency.
