This course runs January 15th to March 18th (8 classes, No class on Feb 12th or 19th), Monday afternoons from 1:00pm – 3:30 pm. If this class is full, you may phone us at 306 653 1900 to add your name to a wait list.
This course builds on skills and techniques introduced in Introduction to Watercolour. The course will begin with a still life set-up to review concepts of drawing, composition and light source, colour mixing and brush techniques on paper. Continuing on, you will be encouraged to pursue your own work and explore other ideas such as using resists, mixed media ideas, or painting on canvas using absorbent ground.

As per Hues Art Supply cancellation guidelines- if you cancel your registration up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the class, a full refund will be issued to you. 14 days prior to the beginning of the class, should you wish to cancel your registration – we will issue a full in-store credit that you may use for future classes or art materials. 5 days prior to the class, should you decide to cancel, we will issue an in-store credit for 50% of the cost of the class. After the five day deadline, no further refunds will be issued unless the class has been canceled by Hues Art Supply.

Alison Montgomery is a Saskatoon artist who paints both en plein air and in studio using watercolour. Alison taught high school visual arts for 32 yrs in the Saskatoon Public School District. She studied at the University of Saskatchewan, graduating with a Bachelor of Education in 1984 with a major in Art and History, and has completed her Masters in Adult Education/Lifelong Learning. Alison has had many solo shows and group exhibitions, and her work is represented in numerous corporate and private collections.
