Beginner Drawing Level I with Jean Dudley

Learning to draw is all about learning to see while having fun. This introductory course will focus on increasing your observational skills and interpreting those observations from your personal perspective. Still life arrangements will be used as particular drawing skills are practiced and a range of mark making techniques are developed. Topics covered in this class include: line drawing, contour, gesture, value, form, negative space and perspective. Other topics will be included as individual interest and time permits.
As an adult Jean Dudley has always drawn, painted and been involved with various art forms, one leading to another and another. Painting regularly over the last 15 years, she worked strictly in oils until picking up acrylics about 5 years ago. She is presently a member of Artists’ Workshop, a local group, who share studio time weekly as well as hold an annual show and sale. Jean also organizes a Plein Air group throughout the summer which is open to the public.
