Gel Plate Play w. K McClocklin
September 14, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
As we reflect on the past decade of fostering creativity within our community, we are thrilled to embark on a year-long celebration of workshops led by professional Saskatchewan artists who have contributed immensely to our artistic landscape.
This workshop is Saturday, Sept 14th from 10:00 am-4:00 pm. If this class is full, you may phone us at 306 653 1900 to add your name to a wait list.
Unlock your creativity and dive into the vibrant world of gel plate printmaking in this hands-on workshop! Perfect for both beginners and seasoned artists, this workshop will guide you through various gel printing techniques using stencils, masks, and hand-carved stamps. You’ll experiment with colours, textures, and layering techniques, embracing the unexpected outcomes that make each print unique. Gel plate printmaking is a fantastic way to dip your toes into the art of printmaking because the process is straightforward and requires minimal supplies: a gel plate, some paint, and paper. This workshop will cover the basics as well as introducing additional techniques for those interested in expanding their skills. By the end of the session, you’ll take home your choice of either a set of gift tags, bookmarks, or artist trading cards—each a miniature masterpiece. Join us for a creative and inspiring experience and leave with new skills and unique one-of-a-kind art pieces. Sign up today and let your artistic journey begin!
