Portrait drawing and painting is a specialized skill. Portrait artist Carol Wylie will help you increase your ability to create resemblance in your portraits through observational skill development and understanding of the anatomy of the face. You will work from a live model, in the medium of your choice.
Carol Wylie is a figurative and portrait painter whose studio practice includes drawing and painting. She holds a BFA from the University of Saskatchewan and an MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. She works in Learning and Engagement at Remai Modern Art Gallery of Saskatchewan. Carol was a finalist in the 2015 Kingston Portrait Prize, the 2021Salt Spring Island National Art Prize and she was awarded a Saskatchewan Foundation for the Arts award in 2016.
