Founded by artist John Hersey, who decided to create the perfect pastel after many years of not finding one that he was happy with. After years of experimenting and perfecting, the Unison Colour soft pastel that you know and love today, was born.
Unison Colour is still to this day, based in the Northumberland National Park in the UK where each year nearly half a million handmade soft pastels are made.

A new concept for the Pastel market! The pastel adheres so well to this new paper that you don’t need to use a fixative between each layer. You are able to multiply the layers without a saturation effect. Pastelmat brings new opportunities for pastel artists, offering a coarser surface than velour but a softer surface than sand paper. Finetec Pearlescent Mica Colours are handmade, high quality gouache colors. They can be dissolved with water and applied with a brush. Finetec Pearl Colours are perfect for creating special effects and highlights, they are also ideally suited for calligraphy. Handmade of extra fine mica pigments, these natural minerals are light-fast and non-fading.
These metallic and pearlescent gouache colours dissolve with water and you can mix them with each other to achieve different shades.
