Handmade in the UK, using the finest traditional pigments for over 30 years. There is very little binder, so the pastels are very vibrant, due to the pure pigments they use. They are easy to apply, and because of their softness, and blend very well. They are great for smooth transitions, like in skin tones and tonal backgrounds.

You are able to multiply the layers without a saturation effect. Pastelmat brings new opportunities for pastel artists, offering a coarser surface than velour but a softer surface than sand paper. These pads contain 12 sheets of Pastelmat card, including 3 sheets each of Anthracite, Brown, Sienna, and White.

These pastel pencils feature buttery smooth color lay-down providing excellent color opacity. Each pencil contains the highest quality pigments for unsurpassed lightfastness. They can be blended for layered effects, highlights and transitions. The extra-thick 4.3mm lead is housed in California cedar wood casing with SV bonding to strengthen lead and prevent breakage, while providing sharp fine lines and excellent point retention. They can be wiped like ordinary pastels, and are ideal for mixed media. Gentle fixing is recommended. Each set includes a variety of pastel pencils in a convenient storage tin.
