Cold Wax&Oil Workshop B Bentz

This one day workshop is on August 26th, Saturday from 10:00 – 4:30pm. If this class is full, you may phone us at 306 653 1900 to add your name to a wait list. There will be a 30 min lunch break – bring your own lunch.
No previous experience is necessary. This will be a hands on class with students jumping right in to experiment with oil and cold wax on paper. You can expect to create numerous small landscape paintings whilst learning about:
- Mixing and blending cold wax and oil
- Various application/removal techniques
- How to paint without a brush
- The importance of an initial layer
- The importance of value vs colour
- The fact that less is quite often more
Materials are not included in the price. We will email a complete supplies list when you register for the class. Supplies you would need include cold wax, oil sticks and/or oil paint, oil paper, cradled panel, silicone wedges, palette knifes, and other mark making tools, etc.
