Some experience in painting required. This class explores painting the sky and clouds alla prima (wet on wet – all at once) in oils. You will learn the basics of the alla prima method, color mixing, composition, seeing values, cloud forms, and how edges are important to create atmosphere for a convincing sky. We will work from a reference photo, but loose, creative expression and individual interpretation is encouraged.
