In this course, students will introduced to a range of styles and experimental approaches to landscape painting using acrylics, acrylic medium, watercolour, ink and mixed media. We will explore a variety of landscape subjects and investigate plein air possibilities. We will examine methods for creating studies of skies, clouds, and variations of the land and trees. Diverse methods of perspective and colour theory will be investigated. Exemplars of well-known Canadian and International landscape painters will also be introduced.
