Rigmor Clarke
I was born in Sweden in 1935, in 1949 my family moved to British Columbia. At 21 I moved to Saskatchewan, where I have lived ever since. My passion is to paint the untamed landscape of northern Saskatchewan. My first experiences of the north came from canoeing on the Churchill and painting plein air. I’ve also explored Lac la Ronge and the Cub Hills on extended solo trips. Now 90 years old, I no longer travel out on the land and I have entered a new stage of my art, exploring different media including screen print and encaustic painting.
