October 14, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

September 2021-09-23 @ 6:30 pm – November 2021-11-18 @ 9:00 pm
Drawing and painting portraits is a specialized skill. Portraitist Carol Wylie will help you increase your ability to create similarities in your portraits by developing observational skills and understanding the anatomy of the face. You will work from a live model, in the middle of your choice.
Carol Wylie is a figurative painter and portrait artist whose studio practice includes drawing and painting. She holds a BFA from the University of Saskatchewan and an MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. Previously, she taught for the U of S Community Arts Program. She works in Learning and Engagement for Saskatchewan’s Remai Museum of Modern Art. Carol was an artist-in-residence at the Canadian Light Source synchrotron in 2007, where she created the “First Light” triptych, which was installed overlooking the synchrotron. Carol was also a finalist for the 2015 Kingston Portrait Prize.
