Please join us Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 1:30pm in the Elsie Scherle Gallery for an artist’s reception of new watercolour paintings on paper by Bev Brenna.
Bev Brenna is a visual artist, freelance writer and editor living in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She is the author of sixteen books, earning her a Printz Honor, a Dolly Gray Award, and a Stuchner Award for humour. Her work has also been shortlisted for a Governor General’s Literary Award.
Brenna is a Professor Emerita from the University of Saskatchewan where she taught undergraduate and graduate courses in children’s literature and English Language Arts. Prior to working at the university, Brenna worked as an elementary classroom teacher, a special education teacher, and a consultant for exceptional learning needs.
LMLCC is located on Qu’Appelle Treaty 4 territory, the traditional lands and meeting grounds of the Cree, Saulteaux, bands of Ojibwa peoples, Dakota, Lakota, Nakota and the Metis Nation.
