Aarin Rinas – Artist Reception

Aarin Rinas
Aarin Rinas was born in Kansas City, Mo in 1981. From 2000-2003 he attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). At SAIC he focused on figurative drawing and metal sculpture. He now resides in Saskatoon.
Aarin works primarily in oil paint, oil pastel and charcoal. He is especially interested in the relationship between the artist and the work and the work and the viewer and the interchangeable roles of all three.
In March 2020 Aarin was awarded an independent artists grant from Sk-arts to create works exploring our society’s current relationship with money. Some of this work was displayed in Amigos in March 2021 and at the Mann Gallery’s Winter Festival in Prince Albert.
