Theme: Pop-up Books, 3-D narrative space
We will explore: painting, scraffito (sgraffito in Italian), image transfer (photocopied image in reverse, transferred with medium); collage with photographs, fabrics and wool; and explore pop up technique and geometry. We will create a short pop up book in mixed media to create an amazing interactive 3-D book.
About Kathleen: The love bite of art making has been with me since childhood. Drawing has been the consistent visitor in my evolution from living in Montréal, Prince Albert and Saskatoon. In my most natural state I draw almost daily, and collage is my favourite go-to, and photography, painting as well as kayaking, hiking and camping. The theatre of the imagination is a richly vibrant place, for which I hope my enthusiasm is infectious for other art makers.
