Intro to Drawing with Jean Dudley

This class runs from January 16th until March 19th on Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm – 8:30pm (10 classes, 20 hours of instruction). If this class is full, you may phone us at 306 653 1900 to add your name to a wait list.
Learning to draw is all about learning to see while having fun. This introductory course will focus on increasing your observational skills and interpreting those observations from your personal perspective. Still life arrangements will be used as particular drawing skills are practiced and a range of mark making techniques are developed. Topics covered in this class include: line drawing, contour, gesture, value, form, negative space and perspective. Other topics will be included as individual interest and time permits.

As per Hues Art Supply cancellation guidelines- if you cancel your registration up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the class, a full refund will be issued to you. 14 days prior to the beginning of the class, should you wish to cancel your registration – we will issue a full in-store credit that you may use for future classes or art materials. 5 days prior to the class, should you decide to cancel, we will issue an in-store credit for 50% of the cost of the class. After the five day deadline, no further refunds will be issued unless the class has been canceled by Hues Art Supply.

As an adult Jean Dudley has always drawn, painted and been involved with various art forms, one leading to another and another. Painting regularly over the last 20 years, she worked strictly in oils until picking up acrylics about 5 years ago. She is presently a member of Artists’ Workshop, a local group, who share studio time weekly as well as hold an annual show and sale. Jean also organizes a Plein Air group throughout the summer which is open to the public. As a lifelong learner, she participates in classes and workshops regularly.

These 100% cotton, acid-free archival paper sheets are ideal for a broad array of printmaking applications including relief, lithography, intaglio and screen print.
