The University of Saskatchewan’s Community Arts and Artisanship Program is a series of non-degree art classes and workshops in drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, metalwork, glass art, textiles, and more. We offer art supply bundles in painting, drawing and mixed media.

AA Cardboard Portfolio 33x26 $14.50
These sturdy 33″w x 26″h white cardboard portfolios feature a convenient handle and two bendable tabs on each side to hold contents in place. They are a great way to protect sheets of watercolor and specialty papers. The portfolios are reusable, recyclable and feature fun art supply illustrations along the bottom edge. Art Alternatives titanium-based white acrylic primer provides a reliable, classic foundation which is permanent, non-yellowing and flexible when dry. No prior sizing necessary. Great for artists and students alike, it may be used on a variety of porous surfaces, such as canvas, wood and other panels, or paper with oil, acrylic, alkyd and spray paint. Multiple coats may be sanded to create a smooth portrait surface.

These durable molded plastic knives are an affordable choice for all artists. A safe alternative to metal knives they are non-staining and easy to clean. The set includes one each; straight, trowel and diamond trowel palette knives as well as narrow trowel and wide angle painting knives.

Arches WC Pad 140 lb CP 10x14 12SH $51.25
Arches watercolour papers are exceptional quality and mould-made in France from 100% cotton fibers. These papers are acid free and pH neutral. The gelatin sizing creates a durable surface which can hold layers of colour washes and still be durable for removing and reapplying colour. Artists are able to create all sorts of unique watercolour effects and corrections. This paper can handle it. It is the most durable paper on the market. Arches Watercolour pads are convenient. The paper is cut to size and bound on one side.
Another tip: Buy larger pads and tape-off smaller sections to paint. This way you can work on two or four paintings at a time.
