We will explore dyeing and decorating papers and then applying them to a canvas to create a painting that reveals the image through layers of paint, paper and found objects. This type of work requires some planning and a thought process that will ensure the painting comes together in a cohesive way while working with different elements. Some previous painting experience is required. Collage/Mixed media can be playful, creative and a whole lot of fun! Botanical images, trees and flowers all lend themselves beautifully to this type of artmaking.
