An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until March 26, 2025
This class is an exploration of stitching, with instruction on lines, fills and motifs with various threads on a variety of fabrics. Students will complete a sampler in the first three weeks to act as a stitch library for use in a self-designed project. Then, students will expand into the realm of stumpwork, appliqué and reverse appliqué, needle lace for embellishments and use alternative methods of adding colour on their pieces. Further exploration of design and colour theory as it pertains to thread and fibre will be covered as well.
